There are many methods for teaching music. The most effective teachers bring the best of what they have learned through their own training and experience and develop an approach that enables them to respond to the needs of each individual student. In general, the traditional approach to music study integrates note reading and playing with a customized repertoire based on the student’s needs and interests.
Public performances boost students’ confidence and encourage them to set and achieve artistic goals. With more than 250 recitals, concerts, and events by students, faculty, and guest artists each year, performance is an integral part of Third Street’s artistic life.
Third Street’s team of faculty members is made up of world-renowned musicians and dancers, as well as amazing arts educators.
Third Street offers lessons in more than 25 instruments and voice.
Dance is music in motion! Our dance program offers professional training and an opportunity for dancers to discover their creative selves.
Ensemble playing is an integral part of the development of a well-rounded musician and individual. Students enrolled in individual lessons can join at a significantly reduced rate.
We have something for everyone in all age groups of our community. Whether you are a toddler, an eight-year-old, a teenager, a young adult, or a member of the “50 or better” crowd, Third Street offers the gift of enriching one’s life through the joys of music-making.
It is never too late or too early to experience the joy of learning music. Third Street's faculty are in-tune with the needs of our "classic" students.
Lessons are offered in more than 25 instruments and voice in 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions.
